Overhaul of an IoT network in the chemicals sector

How do you transform an aging industrial network into a modern, secure infrastructure ready for Industry 4.0? This was the challenge taken up by B2C Engineering for an international group specializing in phosphate chemistry, with over 1,400 employees on several continents.

Faced with the challenges of cybersecurity, performance and compliance with standards (IEC-62443, ISA-99), this customer decided to carry out an in-depth review of the architecture of its OT network. B2C Engineering took over from an initial IT cybersecurity audit, contributing its business expertise and knowledge of industrial environments.

The result: 14 IT racks installed, over 30 ANSSI-certified Stormshield firewalls, 42 Siemens switches, 13 km of fiber optics… and an OT network that is totally independent, secure, scalable and adapted to tomorrow’s challenges.

This detailed case study presents the methodology adopted, the technological choices made, the constraints addressed and the concrete benefits obtained for the customer.
