Optimising the steps involved in preparing a filling campaign

In a sector as demanding as the pharmaceutical industry, each process optimisation can represent a precious gain in efficiency, quality and profitability.

This was the challenge taken up by B2C Engineering for an international laboratory seeking to increase the number of batches produced per campaign. To achieve this, it was essential to rethink the production preparation stages, while guaranteeing strict compliance with quality standards.

B2C Engineering supported the client in modifying the operating modes of its Siemens Simatic IT eBR M.E.S. (Manufacturing Execution System). The aim was to reorganise preparation tasks, replace automated tests with visual inspections controlled by the M.E.S., and simplify operations for field teams.

Thanks to a rigorous approach – analysis, development, documentation, validation and training – the project was completed in just 3 weeks.

The benefits? Time saved on processes, fewer human errors, improved traceability and faster batch production.
