Integration of Two New Filtration Units in a Pharmaceutical Site

Integrating new equipment into a critical pharmaceutical process requires a seamless approach to ensure continuity, traceability, and regulatory compliance from day one. That’s precisely what B2C Engineering delivered by integrating two new filtration units at a Belgian pharmaceutical facility.

Equipped with Siemens S7-1500 PLCs and local HMIs running on WinCC, the units were connected to the site’s existing AVEVA System Platform. The challenge? Incorporating production data, critical alarms, and audit trails into the global supervision and reporting systems, in full compliance with Data Integrity requirements.

From initial studies and programming to final validation, B2C Engineering handled the full lifecycle of the integration — resulting in robust batch reports, an enriched SCADA environment, and a system ready for regulatory audits.
