To ensure compatibility and standardization across its pharmaceutical site, a major industry player entrusted B2C Engineering with integrating an Alfa Laval centrifuge (MBPX 810HGV) into their existing PCS7 system.
The centrifuge, locally controlled by a Siemens S7-1500 PLC, communicates with PCS7 via a structured data exchange table, enabling full data reporting and the management of 58 Control Modules.
B2C Engineering handled the full integration in PCS7 v8.2: architecture updates, functional documentation, HMI development, process integration, batch compatibility, and connectivity with auxiliary systems (CIP skid, PW loop, air systems, biowaste, ALERT monitoring, etc.).
The result is a harmonized, user-friendly control system that aligns with the site’s PCS standards and ensures process reliability.
